Police quell argument at restaurant -- Police responded to Guzman Y Gomez for a customer-management complaint. Police say the complainant reported while he was trying to figure out if the business was open, a subject inside a vehicle in the parking lot threatened him. The complainant said when he left in his vehicle, the subject who threatened him, threw a rock toward his vehicle without striking it. He left the immediate area and contacted the police to have the subject spoken to. When police arrived, they met with the subject who was involved in the verbal altercation. The subject denied having any verbal altercations with anyone. A witness told police he observed the complainant trying to get a hold of restaurant staff because the restaurant was not open, and he wanted the food he ordered.   Vehicle break-ins -- Buffalo Grove police continue their investigations into a series of motor vehicle break-ins during the past few weeks. According to reports, two cars were broken into at the Villa Verde apartment complex on March 21. In both cases vehicle owners said the glove box and center consoles were open and contents strewn around the vehicles. Both incidents appeared to happen overnight. Police say three incidents were reported on Crestview Terrace on March 23. In the first, reports say they responded to a report of a “criminal trespass to vehicle” in progress. Reports say a resident told them she witnessed several subjects enter and exit her vehicle. Nothing was taken from her vehicle. Reports say officers spotted a vehicle matching the description and attempted a traffic stop, but the vehicle fled.   ISP charge two -- After a two-month investigation, two Buffalo Grove men face attempted murder charges in what authorities are describing as a road-rage shooting on Route 53 in Palatine. The Daily Herald reports that Illinois State Police arrested Malik Sutherland, 20, and Victor Ponce, 20, into the Jan. 17 shooting.  Full details are here. Package theft – A resident on Prairie Lane told police a package was stolen from his front door.  Reports did not say what was in the package or its value. Retail theft – A man was charged with retail theft for allegedly trying to steal $724.58 worth of merchandise from Woodman’s Market.
