Deerfield Road Corridor Public Meeting Tuesday

The Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT) is hosting the second Public Information Meeting regarding improvements to Deerfield Road from Milwaukee Avenue to Saunders/Riverwoods Road. The meeting is from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at   Aptakisic Junior High School, 1231 Weiland Road in Buffalo Grove. The purpose of this meeting is to present the preferred alternatives and seek public comment. The meeting will be conducted in an open house format, so the public may attend any time. Exhibits will be displayed, and project team members will be available to discuss the project and answer questions. View the project website to learn more. Annual Civics Forum Monday

The village of Buffalo Grove will host its annual Civics Forum Monday. The annual event, coordinated by Village Clerk Jan Sirabian, features students from Buffalo Grove and Stevenson High School.   Students spend the day with village staff and officials learning about the process by which decisions are made at the village. Students will make presentations to the Village Board during the Forum, which starts at 7:30 p.m. in the Jeffrey Braiman Council Chambers in the village hall. Police Department recognizes two for 30 years of service     On Friday, October 12, 2018, Buffalo Grove Deputy Police Chief Michael Szos (right) and Officer Rollin Hamelberg  (left) were each recognized for 30 years of service with the Department.
