Cops probe car theft, missing cat food

A resident in the 1100 block of Russellwood Court reported his car, a leased company car, missing from his driveway. The resident told police his personal belongings were found in middle of the street. He told police he may have left the second set of keys in the car. This won’t look good on his annual performance review.         Theft from auto – A resident in the 1100 block of Windbrooke Drive found her car ransacked and cell phone charger missing from her car on Nov. 19. She told police she “may” have left the car unlocked.        Not pussy footin’ around – A resident in the 600 block of Grove Drive reported that her last two orders of cat food from Chewy were missing. Delivery of packages was confirmed and the woman suspects neighbors are stealing the packages. Homicide suspect dies

The Buffalo Grove Police Department have confirmed with the Edina, Minnesota Police Department that the suspect wanted in the double homicide of Nataliya Ermak and her husband, Roman Frid, has died. Suspect, Anatoliy Ermak, died this morning at approximately 7:02 a.m. at the Hennepin County Medical Center, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As previously reported, Ermak suffered from a self-inflicted gunshot wound during a stand-off with the Edina Police Department which occurred on Friday, November 22nd.            Investigators will continue to gather facts to bring closure to the case

Police identify suspect, victims in double homicide

The man being sought for allegedly shooting a Buffalo Grove couple to death has been identified by Buffalo Grove Police as 64-year-old Anatoliy Ermak, the ex-husband of the female victim.   Anatoliy Ermak            Police made the announcement in a press release and ensuring press conference. At the press conference, investigators said Ermak is the ex-husband of the slain woman, Nataliya Ermak, 55. She and her husband, Roman Frid, 69, we murdered Sunday night in the garage of the condominium building at 150 Lake Boulevard in Cambridge on the Lake where the couple lived.             The Chicago Tribune is reporting that, according to Buffalo Grove Police Chief Steve Casstevens, Nataliya Ermak and Anatoliy Ermak divorced “several” years ago. The Tribune reports that investigators believe Ermak acted alone and have not determined a motive for the killings. Police say Anatoliy Ermak, 64, should be considered armed and dangerous. He may be driving a white Nissan Versa hatchb
